Welcome to
The Best Arezzo and
Tuscany Tour!
“Arezzo would be enough to glorify Italy” G.Carducci
Arezzo, is a city of Etruscan origin, as evidenced by the findings of the bronze statue of the Chimera, the various elements of the structures present in the lower part of the church of San Francesco and in looking at many objects that can be seen in the Archaeological Museum “Gaio Cilnio Mecenate”. In the medieval period, Guido Monaco, the creator of modern musical notes, lived at the Cittadella del Colle del Pionta, where the Old Cathedral once stood. In the churches in Arezzo we admire works of great artists, to mention only a few: in the Bacci Chapel of San Francesco the famous frescoes in the cycle of the “Legend of the True Cross” by Piero della Francesca, in the Church of San Domenico the painted Cross by Cimabue, in the Pieve di Santa Maria the Polyptych by Pietro Lorenzetti and in the Cathedral the stained glass windows by Guillaume de Marcillat. Giorgio Vasari, one of the most important artists of the sixteenth century, was born in Arezzo and left many works of art in his city; his works can be seen in the Churches, museums and in his home, Casa Vasari. This is just an “amouse bouche” to let you savor what Arezzo can offer you. I invite you to visit the city to be able to appreciate its art, its traditions and more and why not …… good food!!

Travelling with Debora
My name is Debora Bresciani, born, raised and living in the heart of Tuscany in Arezzo. Driven by curiosity and interest in getting to know the cultural and historical aspects of my city better, I became, at the beginning of 2017, a licensed National Tourist Guide in Italian, English and German. It makes me more than happy to share my city and the territory of the Province of Arezzo in general, with the beautiful valleys of Casentino, Valdarno, Valtiberina and Valdichiana, with those who do not know Arezzo and its surroundings, with the famous villages of Anghiari, Lucignano, Stia, Castiglion Fiorentino and find “amazement and surprise” in tourists in front of the art, history, monuments, food and wine traditions and folklore that this area has to offer. I like traveling, meeting new people, and spending time with family and friends sharing good food and good wine. What else? I hope to see you soon and do not hesitate to contact me to create a personalized itinerary according to your interests and needs. See you soon! Debora
